IFSWF DELEGATES VISIT OIA

OIA welcomed the Chief Executive of International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Fund secretariat (IFSWF), Mr. Duncan Bonfield together with Mr. Adam Robbins on 26 September 2016. The purpose of the visit was to introduce the IFSWF secretariat to the SGRF senior management team, explore opportunities where the secretariat could assist with or connect OIA with other global Sovereign Wealth funds (SWF), share potential opportunities and best practices adopted by SGRF that could benefit other SWF.

The IFSWF delegation met with the Executive President, His Excellency Abdulsalam Al Murshidi, , the Chief Finance Officer Mr. Abdullah Al Harthy including other staff members from Finance and Business Strategy, the Chief Investment Officer Mr. Mulham Al Jarf, the Director of Support Mr. Saud Al Yahmadi and Director of Risk and Compliance Mrs. Susan Daniel. During their visit the management discussed various topics including co-investment opportunities, investment strategies and structures adopted by other SWF and OIA, the adoption and implementation of Santiago Principles in OIA and opportunities for exchange programmes for Omani Staff to other SWF.
