Oman Institutional Investor Summit groups international experts in Muscat

Muscat, 8th October 2018: The Oman Institutional Investor Summit took place recently at the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah resort, in partnership with State General Reserve Fund and Oman Investment Fund. H.E. Nasser Bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance of Oman attended as guest of honour alongside the heads of Oman’s pension and sovereign wealth funds. They were joined by a group of international investors from global asset management firms and financial institutions. Attendees discussed strategies, opportunities and risk in global and local markets. In particular, investors debated the opportunity for infrastructure investment in the Sultanate of Oman as well as in emerging and developed market economies. Conclusions drawn from the event include the importance of a strong pipeline of investments and long track record to attract capital to the region.
